Took me completely by surprise. I thought it would end up being just another blonde ale but instead whem I removed the cap I got the unmistakable scent of a sour brown ale.
Smooooth. As it gets closer to room temperature, a definite smoky whiskyness. Lovely.
Slight apple aftertaste, lighter than other trippel for sure. Pleasant, certainly unique.
Hard to believe I am saying this but this is actually pretty decent. More red than brown but a surprisingly drinkable take on a Flemish specialty. Rather inoffensive comparatively but potable. More sour fruit tones but went very well with a French leek omelette.
