Rounded and delicate. According to the label it is based on the IPA brought to Japan in the 19th century. Matured in cedar casks. Nice.

Hitachino Nest Red Rice ale. Unique little beer made with an indigenous to Japan variety of red rice (not an adjunct!)
Hitachino Nest espresso stout. Impressive coffee tones, well-controlled bitterness.
